Surgery

I tore my ACL snow skiing on March 1st. Yeah, I went through a depression for awhile. I was going down moguls and had a pretty good fall. I was bummed to hear that I needed to get surgery. Yesterday I had ACL Reconstruction Surgery. Everything went well. My doctor was Vernon Cooley, he was awesome. I am just here chillin on the couch icing my leg enjoying conference. This is not how I wanted to spend my spring break but I am grateful to have Chad, who is entertaining me at the moment by dancing with his golf club. He is hilarious. I am so lucky to have him. I love Chad so much! He has been so cute to me and very supportive. He is my own personal nurse. Thanks Chad for everything! I really appreciate you. It is a bummer that I have to spend my spring break like this but I am thankful for modern medicine and doctors and nurses who are there to help me heal. The good news is I will be back to my old self again after 3 to 6 months. I will be on crutches for a week and then walking in a brace. It will be about 3-6 months before I can do intense physical activity, which is hard for me. There goes my summer, huh. I really value my work out time and enjoy being physically active, so much for wake boarding this summer. Chad has been doing the Insanity work out without me and I am jealous. I wish I was doing it with him so bad. I am proud of Chad for sticking to it, he has done Insanity for a month now. It is intense. I will just have to wait til this fall to join him. We will see how fast I recover. I am doing alright as far as pain goes, as long as I have my pain meds, thank goodness. The percocet made me sick, and I threw up last night. Now I make sure I take my anti nausea pill first so I don't throw up.
