Jude lately

Loves to throw the football to me.

Right when he wakes up in the Morning he gives me the TV remote and wants to watch Baby Einstein.

He is difficult to put to bed at night. It is too long of a process.

He just wants to be rocked to sleep. He won't let me put him in his bed. I am a sucker and sometimes give in and just hold him until he does fall asleep even if it takes him 2 hours!

I finally put him down after reading too many stories and singing all of his lullabies and he will throw a little fit and toss his elephant out of his crib, then he is more mad because now he doesn't have his elephant. I then will toss his elephant back in his bed after he settles down.
He usually will cry for a bit, no more than a couple minutes and then he will pass out.

He is talking a little more. He has said some new words like: Hot, car, and truck. He doesn't use The words that he knows very often, still. He is a quiet observer.

I am trying to teach him some signs. He is picking up on it pretty good at times. He knows the sign for milk and please. We will keep practicing.

He went to the nursery at Church for the first time and loved it. He did really well. He didn't even miss me.

Jude is definitely a Ma ma's boy. Mama is the only word that he says regularly. He says "Mommy"
too. He loves his Mommy! We are best friends. I keep trying to get him to say Da da but he will just say Ma ma. He has said Da da a few times.

Jude at 18 Months

Hanging out at Bear Lake conference weekend

Jude loved ridding on the tracktor

 Jude and Lincoln. Best Buds!

Jude fell in love with his friends Finn and Liam's bike and scooter. Got to get him one now.

Jude is such a fun little guy. He loves being read to. I am trying to read to him even more to help him with his language. The doctor said that he should be saying at least 10 words. He says 5 words right now. He has just recently the past month been saying Ma Ma a lot more. He doesn't really talk much yet. Words that he says: Ma ma, Da da,  ball, UH Oh, dog.  His first word that he said was Ma ma at about 16 months probably. I am trying to get him to talk but it is not very often that he says those words. I have noticed that he is starting to talk more now. He is talking in his own language, just mumbling away. I am not worried. I think he is taking his time. I think one day it will just click for him and he will just run with it once he does decide to open his mouth more. I know that he understands what I am saying. It has been fun to see this happen. I will tell him something and he will go do it. Today I said, "Let's go get in the bath tub" and he ran right into the bathroom, all excited wanting to get in the tub.

Jude is still just as tall and skinny as ever. He is in the 90% for height and 10% in weight. He is maintaining his weight at least. So That is good. I do my best to feed him healthy food and limit the sugar. He eats good most days but somedays not so good. It is a challenge to get him to eat his veggies sometimes. For the most part he eat well. He will mostly eat what I give him. I try not to stress about his eating habits too much. I know he will eat when he is hungry.

He is liking his new set of golf clubs. He went out on the golf coarse this last sunday night with Chad to practice putting and he wants to go back out there ever since that night. I got him his own little putter and golf balls so he could go golf with Daddy. He loves it.

I love it when Jude runs around all hyper and does a little dance. He enjoys dancing to music with Mom, just being silly at times.

Jude at 17 Months

Jude is now almost 18 months in about a week. The past month Jude went to Lake Powell for 2 weeks. One week we went with the Towner Family and the other trip was with his Daddy's sales office. Jude has been a trooper traveling with us. He did really well at Lake Powell with all of the commotion. He slept outside with us on top of the house boat in his pack n' play and got a little nap when he could. He loves the water. He enjoyed swimming with Mommy and Daddy in the Lake. Jude is now getting use to the sand. It took him some time to walk on it. At first, every time I tried to put him down on the beach he would not let his feet touch the sand. By the end of our trip he was walking on the sand. Ha ha! Funny little guy. Toward the end of our first lake Powell trip with the family Jude took his turn feeling sick. It was a bummer that a cold got to us from his cousins. He is still recovering. I think he is teething too so that is why he has been more whiny lately. He just recently got two of his molars in the back of his mouth. He now has 10 teeth. Jude is so funny, he gets pretty hyper at times. He will run around and do a little dance and fall on his bum.

Jude enjoys......
Going to the park and playing. He loves the swings.
Throwing his football
Playing with any kind of ball he can get his hands on
Playing with his cousins and being around other kids.
Riding on the boat
Swimming at Lake Powell and Bear Lake
Swimming and playing at the pool
Driving the boat and honking the horn

 Pool Time!

Jude at 16 Months

Jude is so fun! I enjoy him so much. He is Juder the shooter! Because he is getting so good at making shots with his basketball. He is loving his basketball hoop. He will now venture out on the grass, when we first came home he would not touch the grass. He is so attached to his binkie and elephant. He has to even eat with his elephant. Ha ha! What am I going to do with out his binkie, I hope to get rid of it in a couple months. I am just as attached to it as he is because it helps him go back to sleep. Jude tries to get away from me and runs down the sidewalk when he gets the chance. So funny to see him run. He is getting pretty fast! Jude is loves getting into all of the cabinets in the kitchen and my bathroom. It just entertains him for hours!
Jude enjoyed having his Daddy around again last week. Chad came home to visit which was so fun! Jude just loves his Dad! He didn't want him to leave. He started crying when Chad was hugging him goodbye at the airport. It was hard to see Chad go.

Last week we found out Jude is going to have a little brother. We are so excited that Jude will have a little buddy to play with.

Lately Jude has been really whiny in the mornings and just wants to be held. He wants me to hold him while he makes shots in his basketball hoop. It is very tiring. He is so silly! I think it just takes him awhile to really wake up in the mornings.

In the past month Jude got two colds which was hard. Finally he is feeling himself again.
