Yael is 1 month old

Yael is 1 month old today and so happy! I enjoy having him in our family so much. He is so cute! Just love him!

I have the best timing with him, every time I change his diaper he just poops again right into the new clean diaper. Hopefully I learn to wait a little longer.

He smiles so much but right at you. He is very interactive with me. It is the cutest sight to see his big grin.

He is my cuddle bug! He loves being held. The second I put him down he isn't happy.

My Hubby

My hubby, Chad has been gone and I am so excited to see him tomorrow. I have missed him so much and so has Jude boy. Jude has asked where da da is and he went in our room and in the office looking for him, so cute! I realized how helpful Chad has been around the house since I had the baby. I appreciate all that he does for me. I am so grateful to have him as my Husband!

Jude at 22 Months

Jude has grown so much the past month. He talks so much more. He says a new word everyday. He is repeating everything that we say. We really need to be careful what we say around him because he is picking up on anything and everything. He is so much fun! I enjoy being with him so much. He is doing better than I thought he would be doing to the adjustment of having a new little brother. He has some jealous moments but overall he is taking it rather well having a little brother around. He is sweet to his little brother, Yael. He say's "baby" every time he see's him and wants to give him kisses and hugs. Jude has gone pee pee in the potty twice, surprisingly. I got out his potty just to get him familiar with it and he wants to go potty when we go, so funny. Jude loves his show, his iPad and stories and songs before bedtime. He is starting to like brushing his teeth a lot more. It has been a challenge to get him to brush his teeth. He is getting better at letting us brush his teeth. Today I asked Jude to go get a diaper for me for his little brother and he did it. He is such good help already! He also brought me a diaper and said "poo poo"and sure enough he pooped! he wanted me to change his diaper. Ha ha! he is so cute.   I just love my little Juder so much!

Yael at 2 weeks

 Me and my older Brother
 Just a few days old
Yael will be 2 weeks old in a couple of days which is hard to believe, where does the time go?! It goes way too fast. He is a strong baby boy.  He tries to hold his head up and does rather well at times. I love to just hold and cuddle with him and watch him sleep in my arms. I love it when he smiles. He has the biggest smile especially when he is sleeping and he starts smiling. It is so cute. He must be dreaming about something good. Yael already exceeded his birth weight when we took him in for his newborn check up last Thursday. He was only a week old and he weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. That was good news that he was getting plenty to eat. He is good at nursing once I get him latched on. Breastfeeding has been challenging but it gets better with each day that goes by. Yael also got circumcised last Thursday which was a sad sight to see him go through that. He has had a good recovery.  I have enjoyed getting to know him the past couple weeks. He is such a sweet little baby. He is very good natured. He has been sleeping well at night and during the day. It is nice that he sleeps as much as he does so that I can still spend good time with Jude and try and get some more rest myself. He eats every 3 hours during the day and goes a little longer at night sometimes 4 or 5 hours. He loves to be held. He doesn't like to be left alone for too long.  He has a funny little snorting sound that he makes when he cries.

He has arrived

My new baby Boy, Yael Symes Towner arrived on January 24, 2013 at 11:37 pm. 6 pounds 12 ounces 18 inches long.  Light Brown hair. Brown eyes. Fuzzy, crinkled ears, ha ha. He is Perfect!

Yael came into this world sooner than I expected, but I was excited. I was anxious to meet this little guy, so I am glad that he came sooner than later. I had a pretty good feeling that he would be here by that weekend. He came maybe a day sooner than I thought. He came 3 days before my due date. He was ready to come, there was no stopping him. He came fast. I planned on a natural birth again and labored at home. I knew that he would come faster than Jude, I just underestimated or lost track of time during labor and he came much sooner than I anticipated.  I labored at home and got to the hospital just in time to deliver. I labored about 3 and a half hours total of intense active labor. I had contractions through out the whole day randomly but it wasn't constant until later that evening after 8 pm. I went to dinner with some friends that night at Chipotle. I got something spicy to increase my chances even more to go into labor and I guess it worked because once my body decided to go and get this baby out, there was no stopping. I just kept on progressing. My contractions went straight to 5 minutes apart right when I came home from dinner. I should have left to go to the hospital sooner but I stayed home and played with Jude, cleaned up the house and showered in between each contraction. It wasn't until about 9 pm that I realized that he was really coming tonight. The contractions were even more intense by the time we left compared to when we left when I was in labor with Jude. I was getting worried. I knew that we needed to hurry and get to the hospital. I told Chad we need to go now to the hospital. So he hurried and called Uncle Mitch and he came up and stayed the night with Jude.  We left to go to the Hospital at about 11:00 pm and at 11:37pm out came baby, Yael. I didn't realize how far I had progressed until I was in the car on the way to the hospital because at that moment I felt him drop tremendously and Chad said that he saw my stomach shrink. He was in the birth canal getting ready to come out. I told Chad to hurry and get us there, he is coming a lot sooner. I was stressing that I was going to have him in the car. Chad reassured me that he will get us there in time and that I need to stay focused on relaxing. We got to the hospital just in time.  Chad dropped me off at the front and I walked up the stairs to Labor and Delivery. I had to stop three different times to breath through each surge before I got to labor and delivery. By the time I got their Chad met up with me. I told the nurses that my baby was coming now and just then my water broke, that was a big relief and soon after, I could feel that he was about to crown. The nurses rushed me into the nearest delivery room, while Chad was filling out paper work across the hall. I had time to throw on a gown, climb on the bed and the nurses could see his head. The nurse came out and Chad heard her say, "Call the Doctor, she's complete!" Chad looks into the room and see's the baby's head and he rushes in. Chad puts on some gloves the nurse is holding my leg and with two strong surges the baby just slid out and Chad received him. It was a huge relief to have him here. I was so happy that we made it just in time. He came so fast that the doctor wasn't even there. It was crazy! But I was glad that it went by so fast so that I didn't have to endure the labor any longer.

Big Brother

Jude has been a big brother for a week now. He has been so sweet to his little brother. Jude had a hard time the first 2 days with jealousy. Whoever was holding Yael he wanted that parent at the time. Chad went and got Jude a present the night we came home from the hospital. Jude came home with a new basketball and a scooter. We told him that this is from his baby brother. Ever since that night Jude hasn't acted out or been Jealous! Ha ha. He gives his brother kisses and wants to hold him. He gets excited whenever he sees his brother. He gets sad when he hears Yael cry. It is so cute to see him interact with Yael.
