He has arrived

My new baby Boy, Yael Symes Towner arrived on January 24, 2013 at 11:37 pm. 6 pounds 12 ounces 18 inches long.  Light Brown hair. Brown eyes. Fuzzy, crinkled ears, ha ha. He is Perfect!

Yael came into this world sooner than I expected, but I was excited. I was anxious to meet this little guy, so I am glad that he came sooner than later. I had a pretty good feeling that he would be here by that weekend. He came maybe a day sooner than I thought. He came 3 days before my due date. He was ready to come, there was no stopping him. He came fast. I planned on a natural birth again and labored at home. I knew that he would come faster than Jude, I just underestimated or lost track of time during labor and he came much sooner than I anticipated.  I labored at home and got to the hospital just in time to deliver. I labored about 3 and a half hours total of intense active labor. I had contractions through out the whole day randomly but it wasn't constant until later that evening after 8 pm. I went to dinner with some friends that night at Chipotle. I got something spicy to increase my chances even more to go into labor and I guess it worked because once my body decided to go and get this baby out, there was no stopping. I just kept on progressing. My contractions went straight to 5 minutes apart right when I came home from dinner. I should have left to go to the hospital sooner but I stayed home and played with Jude, cleaned up the house and showered in between each contraction. It wasn't until about 9 pm that I realized that he was really coming tonight. The contractions were even more intense by the time we left compared to when we left when I was in labor with Jude. I was getting worried. I knew that we needed to hurry and get to the hospital. I told Chad we need to go now to the hospital. So he hurried and called Uncle Mitch and he came up and stayed the night with Jude.  We left to go to the Hospital at about 11:00 pm and at 11:37pm out came baby, Yael. I didn't realize how far I had progressed until I was in the car on the way to the hospital because at that moment I felt him drop tremendously and Chad said that he saw my stomach shrink. He was in the birth canal getting ready to come out. I told Chad to hurry and get us there, he is coming a lot sooner. I was stressing that I was going to have him in the car. Chad reassured me that he will get us there in time and that I need to stay focused on relaxing. We got to the hospital just in time.  Chad dropped me off at the front and I walked up the stairs to Labor and Delivery. I had to stop three different times to breath through each surge before I got to labor and delivery. By the time I got their Chad met up with me. I told the nurses that my baby was coming now and just then my water broke, that was a big relief and soon after, I could feel that he was about to crown. The nurses rushed me into the nearest delivery room, while Chad was filling out paper work across the hall. I had time to throw on a gown, climb on the bed and the nurses could see his head. The nurse came out and Chad heard her say, "Call the Doctor, she's complete!" Chad looks into the room and see's the baby's head and he rushes in. Chad puts on some gloves the nurse is holding my leg and with two strong surges the baby just slid out and Chad received him. It was a huge relief to have him here. I was so happy that we made it just in time. He came so fast that the doctor wasn't even there. It was crazy! But I was glad that it went by so fast so that I didn't have to endure the labor any longer.
