7 Wonderful Years

Chad and I celebrated our 7th year dating anniversary this last saturday. We went to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert and went out to dinner at Happy Sumo, we love this place. We then walked around Temple Square. I love this place this time of year. We had the best time. Our anniversary is on December 7th. This is the day that we made it official 7 years ago, our junior year in high school. It is crazy how long we have known each other. Chad is my best friend. I feel so blessed to have him in my life. He makes me so Happy and keeps me laughing. Thanks for always loving me Chad over these past 7 wonderful years. I love you so much!!!

Gift Exchange

We gave my Dad a new VCR and DVD player

Natasha gave me some nice hair product. It was just what I needed.
Dave actually gave Chad the game Risk. He was more exited about this gift.

Chad and our Brother -in-law Dave

Dave gave Chad the book, Twilight as a joke. That was so funny. I was hoping that wasn't his real gift.

Symes Family Christmas Party

We had a good time with my family last Friday. We exchanged gifts, had some leg wrestles, it was hilarious and shared christmas stories. I love spending time with family. We had a fabulous christmas dinner too. My mother spent a lot of time decorating and preparing the food. Thank You Mom! for all of your hard work. It means so much and Thank You to everyone else who brought yummy food too.

A Little Christmas Spirit

Last night was a great night because we felt a little Christmas spirit through such inspirational music. Chad and I went to The Forgotten Carols. I had never been and I loved it. I was reminded of the true meaning of Christmas and what it is all about, the Savior's life and birth. I love this time of year and all of the Christmas music. I was also reminded of how much I love the song Silent Night. At the end of the show we were all singing together and humming the song Silent Night. It was awesome. To help spread a little more Christmas cheer I put some of my favorite Christmas songs on the blog. My all time favorite song is O Holy Night. I have three beautiful versions of Josh Groban, Celine Dion, and Martina Mcbride. I can't decide which one I like most they are all so powerful. Love it. Hope you all enjoy this holiday season! and remember what Christmas is all about.

Turkey Bowl

Happy Thanksgiving

Chad and I had a Happy Thanksgiving with the Towner Family and ate lots of yummy turkey. Turkey and mash potatoes are my favorite. It was neat spending thanksgiving with grandma Towner. She gave us all keep sakes. She gave me a good health charm necklace and Chad got a silver coin. That was very sweet and thoughtful of her. The most entertaining part of the day was the turkey bowl. Chad slept out on the Alta field the night before in a tent to make sure we got the field in the morning to play on. He is crazy, or really serious about the turkey bowl. It was actually a good thing he did because there were a group of guys all there 7 in the morning  wanting to play on the field.  The guys all had a good time playing football. We had a good crew show up. It was awesome. Thanks to everyone who participated in the turkey bowl and made it such a great game.

GO HAWKS!

Alta High School had quite the victory last night. Alta beat Bingham 21 to 17 for the State Championship. It was an intense game. We are proud of Jordy and his team for their 2nd State Championship in a row. What a perfect way to end your last football season. Go Hawks!! Jordan's team has never lost a game in the state since 8th grade. Unbelievable.

Mommy and Me

Last night was Megan Burn's baby shower. It was a great time getting together with all of the girls who I have not seen for so long. Megan is going to make the cutest MOMMY, just look at her she already is. She will be the best MOM ever. Congrats Meg! I Love You Lots. I will email you these pics megs.

TWILIGHT

Yes, I Saw Twilight Last Night and Loved it. Edward is such a classy Guy. HE is so Hott. Loved it.
So I saw Twilight again on Saturday and I was hoping that maybe I would love the movie more, but not really. I have mixed feelings about the movie. Nothing can compare to the book. Overall the movie was good but it is nothing like the book well they did a pretty good job sticking to the story but, I felt like everything was too abrupt and didn't flow together.

Birthday Celebration

Yesterday was my birthday. I can't believe the big 24! Chad and I are getting so old. Once again it was a happy one. My family and the Towners all came over and celebrated our birthdays. We had dinner and ice cream cake. Thanks to my mother we had delicious chicken enchiladas and Anita brought Chad's favorite oreo ice cream and I made a pumpkin ice cream pie. They were so yummy! It was fun to get together with everyone. Thank you to all of our family for your love and support. Chad was too good to me. He spoiled me, once again and surprised me with a new set of snow skis. I am so excited to go hit the slopes together. I love you Chad. Thank you for everything and for making my Birthday extra Happy!

Chad's Birthday!

Yesterday was Chad's 24th Birthday. I made him his favorite orange rolls for breakfast with fruit. I surprised him with some goodies, some new jeans, tiger woods game, macadamia nuts, he loves those, and sweet jordan basketball shorts. We had a good time. We went out to dinner to celebrate and had our favorite, sushi at MiKado. We tried the Birthday roll and it was sooo yummy! I hope you had a great Birthday Chad I love you so much. I feel so lucky to be able to celebrate another birthday with you. You mean the world to me.

Our Happy Halloween

Before Halloween, Chad and I had fun carving pumpkins with the whole Towner Fam. Anita also taught me how to make some of her specialties like: carmel popcorn, grape juice and apple dip. She is quite the baker and she has such good recipes. I love it. All of her food she makes is so yummy. I have learned a lot from her. She is a great Mother-in-law. I like Halloween because I think it is fun to dress up. I dressed up as a Witch. On Halloween, We went to the Alta Football game to cheer our team on and support Jordy. Go Hawks!  Later The Burbidges had my family over for dinner and I went trick-or-treating with my two nieces for a bit. It was a good time. I just missed my babe on Halloween night. He was helping Eric with his sprinkler system at the last minute. We later went to a scary movie with Megan and Brandon Burns. It was probably the dumbest movie I had ever seen. It was so funny how stupid it was. I was laughing. So it was an interesting Halloween, different, but still good.

Lake Powell with the Towners

Chad and I just got back from Lake Powell last night and had the time of our lives. It felt so good to be back at this place. We look forward to it every year. We are so sore from playing hard. We all got whip lash from jumping out of the boat at 26 miles per hour who's crazy idea was that? I haven't ever done it before so I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I just jumped off the boat after Chad and did what he did. Ouch! We all felt it. It hurt so bad. That wasn't fun at all. So I guess that wasn't the smartest thing to do. I won't do that again. I also had my fair share of face plants on the wakeboard. Other than that it was perfect. We did whatever we wanted. We enjoyed the nice water and the weather. We pretty much owned the whole lake, no one was there to chop up the water which was nice for skiing and boarding and it was was mirror water all day everyday. Chad and his brothers seriously could jump off the house boat all day and catch the football, that was fun. We especially enjoyed sleeping out under the starry sky. There is nothing like the stars at Lake Powell. Love it. We had a blast playing with the whole family. I can't forget to mention our last day out on the boat we ended up stranded in the middle of the lake. The boat just quit on us and wouldn't start. Chad and Jason started paddling us in with skis until God answered our prayers and some fishermen came to the rescue. There is always something. We really were blessed with a fun and safe trip. Thank You so much Dave and Anita for making this happen. We appreciate it.

Those that Stink Together Stick Together

On our way back home from Florida we stopped in Texas to visit my grandma Gilbert. It was good to see her again. We couldn't resist from taking a picture sitting on the John's in the words of my grandma. This picture definitely has a lot more potential but we were in a hurry so we just hurried and sat down and had my grandma take the picture of us on the toilets. Some of my grandma's and grandpa's most quality time is spent right here, ha ha. Who would have thought! Isn't that hilarious.
We also stopped by in Denver. We had a good time boating with the Smith Family and then we went golfing with Chad's buddy Landin Smith. We also went to the Rockies game while we were there thanks to Landin. We had a blast with Landin and his family. Thanks to the Smith family for everything. They really are such great people. They made us feel so welcome. So we had a little detour on our way back home to Utah, but it was worth it. We got out in time before the hurricane hit Florida. We hit one more stop before home, we went to Bear Lake and relaxed for a bit. We have had such a great summer. It feels good to be back in Utah again, Home sweet home.
